listen
we have so many miscellaneous
objects in our life
all we have to do is
open our cupboards
open our drawers
to see the detritus of
our lives lived
or...is it the opposite?
are all of those miscellaneous
objects markers of life
we've forgotten to live
are they reminders of what
once stirred up our passions
but which we've tucked
into the back corners of
our hearts?
listen, people...your stuff
is speaking to you...

'listen, people...your stuff is speaking to you...'
Excellent advise. Unfortunately mine is saying 'give me some space - I'm squashed in here!'

Listening to my stuff, will help me to organize it better. I need to just get rid of the things that have no meaning. My sister is good at doing that. I'm getting better about it.

You're so insightful, Marilyn. I have so many little corners of my own life tucked here and there throughout the house :)

Ooh, Marilyn...what a wonderful poem--I love the idea of listening to the stuff of our lives, instead of just thinking of it as clutter.
